I'd vote for using a snell knot, provided that it's tied in advance. Otherwise, when I'm on the water it's more about using a quicker-to-tie knot that'll get the job done and get my line back in the water sooner than later.
Time on the water is of utmost importance.

Thanks man! I really enjoyed making this one. I have fished most of my life and learn somthing new all the time! It really helped the hookup ratio! There was no comparison! If I would have just found this knot 3 months ago!!!!
