2/13/20 Lake Georgetown
Fished alone quit at 60
Tow vehicle is still in the shop, so I hooked up to my big heavy service truck - it’s a turd!
Georgetown is my closest lake, so that’s where I headed.
Launched a little before 9am, calibrated the new Motorguide Xi5 trolling motor and got it connected to my Lowrance graphs.
Time to fish!
(All fish today caught on Zman Streakz 3.75)
First stop was 32’. Caught a few short hybrids right off, followed by a bunch of white bass.
Here started with ‘watermelon red’ and switched to ‘shiner’. No reason, just to see if there was a difference, there wasn’t.
Stayed here about 45 minutes - boated about 20 fish.
For the next hour I would stop, catch 1-4 fish and they would shut down followed by another search.
It was cold this morning and my want to be on the water was diminishing rapidly as my fingers started going numb, but I set a 50 fish goal so I kept at it. I had boated 42 at this point.
Final stop 38’. Lots of roving wolf packs of white bass! If I had a lure down, I caught a fish. I hit 50 pretty quick and upped the goal to 60.
11:50am I reached my goal and my numb fingers said enough!
Water temp 52-53
Zman Streakz 3.75 ‘shiner’ caught most of the fish
5 short hybrids, 5 largemouth and the rest were white bass
