Glad to hear you're on the mend, Thad. Good luck getting back in the tourney game.

Due to a light stroke in mid December of 2017, I am getting reay to tip my toe back into the sport this spring. Since they are holing opens in a couple of lake I know a little bit about, I will be fishing as coangler in 2 of the Texas BASS opens on Lake Lewisville and Sam Rayburn. I think it will be good to get back in the sport and fish competitively again will be fun. I hope I hope I get to see some old friends and make new ones. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
Thad Rains I think the last time we fished together was a long time ago, on Fork, and if memory serves me right, we had an 80 mph run to the dam, you had a heat stroke and I ended up towing you around hanging off the back of my Gambler as you tried to cool off. WOW that had to be the best redneck look ever, you fishing while towing a guy behind you in the Texas heat

Best of wishes. Making a comeback is GREAT and catching fish and placing in tournaments is" icing on the cake".

I was much younger (this was 20 years ago) and really not understanding that things were more serious than they were. And Thad assured me all he needed to do was cool off, so he jumped in and grabbed the back of the boat, I kept on throwing a big crank on the edge of all that hydrilla that used to be down there. This was before the time of phones with cameras, or I definitely would have had pics
