Lori Vick should have a Garmin Boatlanes for Fork already.
Lori: 903-312-0608

But understand this Garmin Boatlanes is the previous version, because the newest Fork Boatlanes release has over the 50 track maximum for Garmin units.

Again, until Garmin fixes the track-segment bug in the Garmin unit software then track-segmentation will not work for Garmin.

You have to call Garmin and complain enough that Garmin fixes it.

I don't know when the latest version of the Boatlanes was released. I have a couple of the previous versions. One is from 2014 and another a few years before that. I I was able to use some software I have and easily convert the track into 1 track without the track segments. It opens fine with Garmin's Homeport but I do not have a Garmin unit to actually test the file. Before I converted the track, Garmin's Homeport would open it with all the segments connected. I haven't been on Fork in years so I haven't noticed it before but one thing that was a little unusual has to do with the waypoints. I just noticed on my oldest version, there are a lot of "Danger" areas marked on my older version that aren't marked on my newer version. I can convert the symbols easily between Humminbird, Lowrance and Garmin but I have to decide which symbols I want to use for the Garmin units since their symbols are a little different. I have a list of all their symbols but I don't have a unit to do any testing.

Have a Blessed Day,
Mike

New release of Lake Fork Boatlanes was released in 2019.

Newest release will have boat-runs deep into Ray and Dale. And also a boat-run from Hwy154 bridge along West-bank toward Long Branch. Along with about 30+ more shorter trails.

The first Boatlanes were waypoints only, then Boatlanes used trails. The very early Boatlanes with trails might work on Garmin units. This Boatlanes would have USR version 3 and a conversion to Garmin will most likely work.

Like Garmin units, USRv3 does not support track-segmentation and newest Boatlanes.

AND FYI: Exporting to USRv3 with newer Boatlanes would not work correctly.

You're correct, I just remembered my 1st version(Lowrance) was actually waypoints only. With that version, I just created my own trail by connecting the waypoints. My latest version(Humminbird) has the trail and some waypoints. This trail(Fork) would open in Garmin's Homeport with all the extra track segments. I converted that trail so that it opens correctly in Homeport. I was able to merge all the track segments into 1 track so it is no longer a track with segments. However, I'm not sure how it will look when loaded to an actual unit. I think it would be ok since it now opens correctly in Homeport. Do you know why there are several "Danger" areas in my original version(Fork) that are not listed in my newer version? Also do you know if the actual trails have "changed" between versions. You mentioned the newest version has over 50 tracks. Are the 50 trails the same as the "old" single trail but just listed as 50 separate trails? If that's the case, I can probably merge them into 1 track without segments like I did with the other trail. I'm wondering if I need to get a newer version and if the new trails are "new & improved". I'm planning to head up there in March and want to have the latest info. I haven't been to Fork in so long that I just don't remember the older "Danger" areas listed on my original version. I'm not sure if those areas have been cleared or were just left off my "newer" version. I don't need Rayburn or Toledo Bend anymore, I know know those trails very well.
Thanks LittleGazoo

FYI both of my versions are the combo pack of Rayburn, Toledo Bend and Fork
2014 Version - Humminbird
Pre-2014 Version (I believe 2008) - Lowrance

Have a Blessed Day,
Mike
