Either the fishing is crazy good right now or no one drives by ever lol. I’ve only been 2 times but i heard it was super low so figured it was worth asking.

I fish an annual derby there in March and they’ve been discussing cancelling because of the ramp situation. So I’m guessing it’s still too low.

Great little lake. Last time there was last summer. They eat frogs well there. Can throw it all day there and get bit.

I drove 3 hours yesterday morning, just to find out that I wasn't going to chance launching by boat. You could see the end of the concrete of the ramp very easily. City ramp.

Both the Fire Department ramp and the City ramp are a good 5 to 6 feet out of the water. When the lake does come back up, the City ramp will be much nicer than before. They've done a lot of work there and a even straightened up the ramp.

Thanks guys. It’s a little bit of a drive so didn’t want to waste a morning to find out it wasn’t fishable.

I went there last week and talked with a motel owner there. He said the water won't be back in the lake until March. They are working on the spillway at the dam.

Help out a clueless guy here. Lonestar Lake according to google maps is west of Mineral Wells. But most of you on this thread are from East Texas or Louisiana. There is a lake near Lonestar called Ellison Creek. Is that what this thread is about?
