Starting sentences with “like” or “Dude”. Even though I was born in the San Fernando Valley and raised in my childhood near Malibu, I don’t care for that lingo. I absolutely hate it when people call their parents or spouses “the old man or old lady”. So much disrespect and hatefulness. Dude, that is like so uncool.

I KNEW IT! You're from CA! lol Born in Austin at St. David's. So native but you get to hear that saying you relayed all the time!? I work with a guy who says "dude" in every other sentence. He's not from Ca. either. He's originally from Uvalde and lived his whole life in Texas. My niece uses "like" in EVERY sentence. She's not from Ca. either. Born in Waco and grew up in Lorena.
