5/0 circle is a good size in general . I use an 8/0 Circle and 50 lb. leader when I am drifting with bigger baits for bigger fish . If I am fishing the Cormorant roost or shallow along the banks I use a 3/0 or 4/0 Khale hook . There is plenty different combination that will work.

I know this is the catfish section of the forum, but it still falls under Lake Livingston...I'm gearing up to troll for some white bass. Call me a cheap azz, but $7 per pet spoon is crazy to me. do any of you have a cheaper source for pet spoons than Academy? I'm also interested in diver options. By the time i rig up a hellbender and petspoon i have damn near $20 on the end of my pole waiting to get snagged and lost. My dad used to make divers out of PVC or conduit that seemed to work. I never see anyone else on the lake dragging a piece of pipe behind them though LOL.

I use a bobber and a couple of jigheads with curly tail grubs under it.
