Anybody use it? How’s the coverage? What system do they use? What about the cost?

what kind of usage do you need?

Tmobile has expanded their network a lot recently, you may even have 5g in your area now (close to dfw). had att, verizon, and a couple of the prepay and been with Tmobile a combined 15 yrs now. I get good reception at fork now and even here at the ranch I have signal in places I didn't.

They target the olds! AND it works lol.

I dont know much about them mate. That said if you are looking to cut costs I would not think twice about going to a lower cost carrier. I have been with Crickett for many years and been very happy...and paying 1/4 of what people pay FOR THE SAME THING with ATT or Verizon.

Its literally the exact same service. I am sure consumer cellar is similar.

And the olds in the commercial love it! So why not take their word for it?

My older sister asked me about it. She is looking to cut costs and asked me to ask the all wise OT. I just found out she has two iPads on her cellular plan for no reason as they’re only used at home where she has WiFi. I told her to drop those and cut her cost by half. We’ll see. I’m a radio guy so I want to know what carrier they use.

Cricket is AT&T but sometimes not as fast. Works great for most.

As soon as my 2 phones are paid off, I'm switching to Patriot Mobile.

What network does Consumer Cellular use?

Consumer Cellular piggybacks on two GSM-based networks: AT&T and T-Mobile. That gives the carrier nationwide reach and fairly dependable service, as both AT&T and T-Mobile rated highly in our recent survey of network speed tests. Consumer Cellular offers full LTE speeds, so your data won't be slowed. Should you use more than 20GB of data in a given month — that's the upper limit of Consumer Cellular's data plans — you will see your speed throttled, though that's not an uncommon practice for carriers.

I dont know Tom or how good his guide is. He seems to write articles to help old consumers navigate through the marketplaces.

My independent (I did not use tomsguide.com) confirms Dan90210's response above.

I pay 55.00 a month for 2g of data and unlimited everything else, phone has wifi calling so I use that here at the ranch. have never gone over my 2g since almost all my data is on wifi so it doesn't count.

right now they have a bogo on iphone 11 I think, financed out with zero down.

I've used Consumer Cellular for many years. It's a subsidiary of AT&T without the bells and whistles. CC's customer service has been great. Had problem with one of my phones after an update and a Tech was on the phone with me until we got the problem fixed. Rates/plans are pretty good and adjust up and down according to your usage. I have the lower end use plan since I don't use the phone much, but when I travel and make more calls they bump up the phone to the next level when I reach my limit instead of charging extra fees for going over the limits.

May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

Have you bought gold coins off TV that were just found in a secret US Mint vault? The ones that have a strict limit of 4 per household and you should buy now to avoid future regrets?

No sir. AARP is the liberal pacifier for the left. AARP caved to Obamacare and guess what? They came out with AARP supplemental insurance plan contracts with a little under the table handshaking. AMAC is the real deal for Conservative thinkers.
