I read where the Rangers didn't want to go past 5 years and have now moved the focus to Josh Donaldson

I’d love to see the rangers get another Beltre at 3rd base... they need a good everyday guy like Donaldson

If they sign that dbag Donaldson I may have to find a new favorite team!!! Daniels ain’t work a chit!! Signed 2 project pitchers again and gave Mazara for minor leaguer prospect while good prospect still not worthy of Mazara and his upside if he could make a jump like Gallo did this last year. i think 2020 Ranger season may be a lot like 2019 except higher priced tickets, food and drinks.

I’m afraid much like when they opened Globe Life Field or at the time The Ballpark in Arlington they will rely on new stadium for year or 2 to draw fans before competing. However with these new ticket prices being what I’m hearing I’m not sure new a/c stadium without competitive team is gonna work like it did before.

Ownership will shave payroll, muddle through the 2020, and sell the new stadium and old team to a results oriented, tail-winded, tiger team, hedge fund managers

the owners have already agreed to raise the payroll for 2020. Not to the levels of what Cole and Rendon made, but there are sill lots of great players out there to build a team with.

I wanted the rangers to sign Rendon but a 30 year old player to a 7 year contract probably freaked them out after doing that with Choo. I dont want that much money tied up in a 37 year old. With that said, the Angel's may be the team to beat next year if they get any pitching. That line up with Joe Maddon gonna be tough.


Sign Donaldson for a couple of years and the Maybe Jung will be ready.

Just like the Cowboys aren't going to be good til Jerry is gone, the Rangers aren't going to be any good til JD is gone.

There's no salary cap in baseball - sign them all. I don't understand how they can afford a brand new stadium to replace a perfectly good stadium, but they can't afford good players to replace bad ones....I assumed the goal was to win games.

Too bad we can't trade the GM... If players are wanting to go more than 5 years, JD is going to have to adjust his thought process on that.
