Read elsewhere that he has lost a sponsor over it so far. Its in the FB comments. I guess TH Marine let him go.

Wonder if John Cox is Elites only now? Apparently John has come out on a podcast and said he is fishing both the MLFLW tour and the BASS elites. He has got the go ahead from both companies. Said there will be one tournament conflict that he will have to deal with and will address that closer to time. Assuming since there is no FLW cup he will fish the BASS elite tourney for a classic qualification but who knows. He fished just as many tournaments this year in 2019 and he sees this as an opportunity to make more money. He also claimed he is going to have the fish the elites out of 1 boat only and it would be his walleye type crestliner for when he has to go north at the end of the season.

What did Watson say, I can't find it anywhere. James is crazy, but I got to know him a bit and he's a really good dude He just said he has friends in all leagues including BFL and local stuff. He says he hates all this drama and basically said let people follow what they feel is best for them and their career. He said he will miss the chance to cut up with Swindle and Palaniuk on the BPT now but they are still his buddies and nothing will change that. That is a basic explanation. He was very classy and to the point.

I don't have any problem with G or Palunik (sp) going back. The MLF format doesn't fit every fishermans skill set and its pretty obvious the guys that excel at finding schools of fish vs pounding the bank for fish. G Man is the king of junk fishing.. and because of that will run into a big fish doing it.. but won't catch 50lbs in a day. Good luck to them.
