Hang in there Butch. I lost my biological dad when I was 25 years old, he was 47. I never knew him. My stepdad who I call my dad will hit me hard when he goes. He took my brother and I in like we were his own. He never had children. I dread the day, so I’m saying this because I don’t know how you feel. I’ve never suffered it yet. May God and peace be with you brother. Just hang in there for the family. Godspeed my friend!

Sorry for your loss. Been through everything you’ve talked about tonight. When the funeral home came to pick up my grandmother they ask everyone to go somewhere so they could do their thing. They didn’t want us to see her being taken out.

Get some rest, take care of the details that need doing, and look after your mother.

When it comes time for the funeral, make it a celebration of his life. Share good memories and laugh.

So sorry for you and your mother, we just went through this two weeks ago. It’s for sure the early robust memories you cling to.

Hang in there

Prayers and condolences for you and family.

Biden famously said in the New York Observer, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

Prayers of comfort for you and your family. I'm thankful you were able to be there. It will mean so much to you later that you were there.

Sorry for your loss, your father is now pain free and at peace. May you and your family find comfort and peace in the coming days.
