My experience with him was great. Back in the 90's I booked a tarpon trip with him... weather got too nasty for tarpon so we went for bull reds. Had a blast, caught them till we were worn out. Definitely a no frills guide, but got the job done for us and that's all we wanted.

Mo
so you're saying he "traded stock on his cell phone" in the late 80's?
No, I said he spent most of the trip on the phone, some of the calls ( most) were to a stock broker.
most people didn't have phones in the 80's...and if they did, they were those brick phones and were ultra expensive. Not doubting your story...just your timeline.
you maybe correct , certainly no later than very early 90's, I know it was many years later before I owned one
