Transducers running on same frequency. Change freq. on one or the other. Also check Lowrance web site for most recent software updates and make sure they are installed on your units. Actually if you look at the pics above they are on different frequencies. Ones on 200 and the other is showing 455. It does look like electrical interference though. Is there a livewell pump on when its doing this? Also are the graphs wired to a terminal block or directly to the batteries? Those are the same units at the console. One is reading 455 and the other is 200 but that is the same unit.

I am trying to save way points from my buddies HDS7 Gen 2 touch to my HDS7 Gen 2 touch and am having trouble locating the import export part of the software. It also does not prompt me when I put in an SD card? Any advice would be appreciated.

Put the card with the waypoints in your unit go to files. Locate the card and import the files.

I am new to this web site and apologize that I originally put this question in the General Discussions section.
I have an Elite Ti2 9" with the Active Imagining 3 in 1 transducer. It is the only graph on the boat. Recently, I have lost the frequency portion of the menu function for the downscan. There is no longer an option to select 455 or 800. All other functions of downscan and the graph, including frequency on sonar and sidescan seem to be working fine. I have tried resetting everything to original factory defaults with no success.
I have found two other threads with reports of this same issue. Any one hear of this before and have any thoughts?

Ok need more help. I installed the 2d transducer, selected that one in settings on the HDS 8, and decided to re run the power and ground to the hds 8 and structure scan, (didnt like the way the previous owner had it run.) Now all of the sudden i have lost GPS on both graphs. I have an HDS 5 up front that i did nothing to. Any help is appreciated.

I just got a gen2 HDS 8. I had a gen 1 7 already so I was able to just plug it in to my existing sonar transducer and structure scan transducer and box. I took it out on the water for the first time and the sonar was definitely not working properly. I played with the sensitivity and it got better but still nothing like it should be. Also, on structure scan it would show nothing but the bottom. I rode over very large brush piles that I know for sure are there but still nothing. I started looking for videos showing ideal settings for the unit and I found one that said to go to the installation tab and enter the transducer model. Well sure enough it said not known. The video says the model is on the silver sticker on the wire going into the back of the unit but the transducer sticker is missing so I cant figure out which one it is. It came original with the gen 1 hds 7. Is there any other way to identify the model?

Just got a new to me boat and it has 2 hds9's gen 3 at bow and console. Looking to add a HDS 12 gen 3. I've always used Humminbirds so don't know Lowrance at all. Just installed a brand new Ultrex on the boat as part of the purchase. The HDS 12 has the LSS transducer that is coming with it. What else should I be looking for? Where do I look to find the number of hours and the software updates on this unit? Any help BEFORE I go see this Saturday would be great! Thanks TFF!

Well never mind...I bought it anyway. Now I just need to do the software update from 4.0 to the latest. Can anyone tell me the latest update version and if it's free?

With Gen 3's you should just turn them on in Wifi range and setup and connect and they should prompt you for an update if needed. If no Wifi in range go to Lowrance downloads on your computer and download to SD card and then put in your graph and turn on. The latest Gen 3 update is 18.2 so you can check that first. Software upgrades are free.
