I lived within walking distance of Fair Park for several years when I was a kid.
I love going to the fair. Been dozens of times and have never had any problems. Not sure what you guys are so scared of.

Not scared of anything. There is just nothing there for me of interest. I don't go to quilting bees or wine tastings either. Not scared of them.

I go almost every year, Fantastic shows for free and good food to eat.

Wednesday you can get in with some can food donations, I am just waiting for cooler weather to make my annual trip there.

Oh you people and your predetermined prejudices.

Don't park. You take the DART Green line to the Fair Park station and you are right at the entrance gate. And I think if you go online to the State Fair website you can get a combo Fair ticket and DART pass combo at a discount price.
As for crime, during the run of the Fair there is a larger Police presence in and around Fair Park than in any other part of Dallas to make sure everything is OK. .

Yes, we suck all the talent out of Texas because these players want a chance at a national championship instead of being a 2nd place in the Big 12 participant’s trophy!

I like going to the car show part of the fair. But hate having to pay full pop just for that.

Biggest beating ever. Now this is a fair worth going to: https://www.fryeburgfair.org/

The sheepdog trials are the bomb! Watched one dog complete the herding task in less than half the time of his closest competitor - most dominate athletic performance I have ever witnessed.
