Few outings over past week have been productive for bottom feeders, as the water up here cools down and the big ones start to feed before winter.

That looks like fun. I wish we had sturgeon in this part of the world. We have been stuck in the mid 90s for weeks. Cooling water is a dream for us at this time.

Yeah, water temps here are down to low 60's, and even cooler a bit further North. Been float tubing in Neoprene waders lately, would freeze my nuts off without them.

Sturge are crazy fun, nothing stronger in freshwater, crazy stamina, and they are the biggest fish we get in our region. Catching them in 35 to 50 feet of water with current, these things can peel hundreds of feet of line in a hurry, and occasionally, they'll jump like smallmouth bass.
