A buddy has caught 20+ a couple times in the last week and 30+ day before yesterday...opps sorry Night before last. He is catching 20+ (bass?) a couple of times during the week and one day over 30 (bass?) at Fork?? He should become a guide if he is doing that well out there right now. He is catching WAY more than anyone else that I know of out there.

Are ya'll mostly fishing around the docks or under them? Both but most come in the shade of the dock.

I am out there every weekend and know a lot of locals that fish and a lot of guides. If you are fishing for crappie you can catch 20+ in a day. I think his "buddy" was off in his count if he was talking about catching bass per day. It is not just lake Fork, many lakes all around are fishing slow, its just the dog days of summer, plain and simple.

Got to agree. I fish Tuesday thru Thursday every week on Fork and I don't think anyone is catching 20- 30 bass per day.

Only a couple over 8 but plenty in the 5-6 range and the last couple days haven't been any different.

Go fish docks. Most underrated fishing at Fork. Especially in summer and this late in the summer. My PB of over 11lbs came late in summer on a dock in about 5'. Have hit a dock and caught an 8, a 6 and two 4's in 5 pitches. Other docks there can be loaded with fish and you can catch several from them. Texas rig a Cali 420 color soft plastic with just a touch of chartreuse on a 3/8-1/2oz setup and start covering water. Mark we had an epic day once on docks at Fork. I cannot remember exacts, but the quality and numbers were excellent and we caught most off of docks.

It's crazy as I have taken several people there and called the shot on a 6lb plus. It's great to watch someone who thinks you might be messing with them until they catch a big fish off of it. Best dock on Fork by far.

If he does, he should post them here and on FB. He'd probably be the busiest guide on that lake right now. He may already be the busiest. Idk who it is, but just saying.
