You won’t be able to adjust the fall rate of your bait and it will be much easier for “junk” to get inside your reel. I would try to exchange it. If they don’t have any more, you could call the manufacturer & see if they will send you one.

What brand is the reel. Sometimes you can get lucky and use one from an old reel you are not using.

take it back to WM and exchange it for one with a knob.

Does it matter if I already spoiled line on it ? If so should i take the line off before trying to exchange

you need the knob.. reel won't work right with out it. If you don't take the line off of that reel and take it back, you will lose that line.. You may be able to talk them into taking the knob off of another combo and giving it to you without having to take the line off.. but not sure they would do that. Otherwise, go buy a new knob.. you need it.

If you don't like that line, take a 1 ounce bell sinker and go out in your yard and cast as hard as you can. That will be the end of that line. And maybe a condor can have a new nest. Everyone wins.
