Long sloping points or points with wind blowing across it.
Try finding deep rocky high spots or ones with brush on it. Its also much easier after dark.
What's really weird is the cove on the south shore just to the right of the bridge coming out of Lynn Creek has good rock and a steep drop off. You'd think it would hold fish, but I've only caught one bass off those rocks. That cove will hold bass in the spring, but not now.

Been a good summer on pool for me with multiple 7+ pounders. Dropshot, crig, 10xd, C25, and a football jig have been my best producers. Fishing literally anywhere from 15-25 fow. The fish this summer are incredibly bait oriented which makes it harder finding offshore fish vs years past due to your old favorite spots not holding any fish, if there’s no bait in the area. Those tips should help I got lucky and actually won last weeks Wednesday nighter hope the tips help. I haven’t seen any grass since February but I also am not fishing the bank as the shallow bite died with the falling water. I did catch a 10 back in June flipping with the high water, which was cool.
Thanking the lord for another day on the water

Ok, every time I think I've figured Pool out it changes. 8 trips in a row I caught fish in a particular place. 6 of those got one on the 1st cast. Fished both Sat and today in the early AM. Yesterday only had 3 on but 2 of those got off at the boat. Today had 1 bite that I missed and my buddy only had 2 bites and one fish in the boat. I'm like WTF?? All 3 of our bites today were shallow which surprised me as I had been catching most of them in deeper water. Water was 86.7 so surprised the bite that we did get was in 2-3 FOW. Didn't see anyone else catching fish either.

Bobby, as I said, I'd been catching fish every time for a few months. Don't think I'd been shutout since early spring when the water rose so fast and the bass were freaked. Just weird they'd change when the weather hadn't changed and no rain to speak of.
