Thank you so much for the break down. I really was wondering about this as well.
When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip! #Brockstarama

I was just talking to my buddy that works for the Texans and we discussed why there wouldn't be teams that represent and area after qualifying and fish against other states, cities ect. I think more people would care if they had a team to cheer for. Something like that. Hopefully Houston wouldn't sell theirs to Tennessee in fishing. Anyways, like regional competitins that qualify lke 4 or 5 boats to rep that area and then fish against another regions or city's guy then have an actual super bowl of fishing.

To me a pro is someone who earns the majority of their living fishing or working in the industry. A nobody like myself wearing a jersey for a company I hadn’t helped create ideas for or design product for would not be considered a pro. If you can sustain your living in the industry, you are a pro. If you get 10% off of product (even if you’re a “prostaffer”), you’re not a pro. KVD is a pro. Josh Seale is a HS football coach who catches a fish every now and then.

Flatbill, white shades and a jersey covered in products that you pay for makes you a "bass pro", if you got a wrap then you are tier 2 BA

One of my favorite things to watch is ....... The subjects of these threads change from the op to what they become by page 3.

What really gets me is all the guys that get on u tube, promoting these tackle companies. Someone mentioned earlier, about people doing for free, what companies used to have pay for. I know it's their right to do as they choose. But as long as that is happening, nothing will change for the better. Not long ago , a friend ( who owns a tackle store) tried to sell me one of his caps. When I told him, if he gave me one, I would wear it, but I wouldn't pay him, to allow me to advertise for him. When you buy things like caps, shirts etc. with business, or product logos on them, Your paying a business or manufacturer, to advertise for them. I'm not hating on anybody, we've probably been guilty of this, I'm just saying if you're doing any of these things, PLEASE stop. It can be better for all of us. The sponsor pie is not big enough for everyone to have a slice, but none of us will get any, as long as some of us, are giving them for free, what they should be paying us for.

Back to OP. Organizations need to be able to cover their costs and make a little money. Or they die and go away. Maybe the payouts are low for these but these also seem to be the ones that have been able to stick around a while. Maybe that formula is the only thing keeping them afloat. As Orgs. grow so do their costs. If BassChamps expanded nationally, their costs would go up too.
We live in BAss fishing bubble here in Texas. I promise you there are few other places on planet earth as in tune to bass fishing as we are. So it’s hard for a lot of you to see that Bass fishing is no where close to as popular as you think it is. Yes, a lot of dollars are spent in the industry annually. But hell everything is so damn expensive now that it doesn’t take as many transactions to get those figures. And a heat map would likely show 80% of that revenue from 2-3 regions.

Not sure why its a nerve for anyone. Living the dream is priceless.
I cant wrap my mind around why anyone does any math or spends any time worrying about others living the dream.

Great info in the video especially the income in the Classic. Fisherman share $600,000 and BASS takes in over $5million! Corporate greed never ceases to amaze me.
Hey they aren't killing people like the greedy insulin manufacturers so that's' pretty good.
Golf vs Fishing? Country clubbers vs Bubbas. He who has the gold wins as usual.

I think it's funny that fishing should be any different than anything else. Unless you work for yourself, you are lining someone or some organization's pockets. And if you work for yourself you are working your [censored] off!
It's only a good cast if you catch a fish... Personal Best: 11.62 lbs
