Since the covid outbreak me and my kids, 10,13, and 16 have been fishing the local golf course. I called and asked. They said it was fine to fish in the evening after 6 PM. We normally get a good hour and a half to two hours of solid fishing in.

As long as we keep off the middle of the fairways, and clean up after ourselves they dont mind. Heck we even went out one afternoon with and extending pole saw/clippers and my pool net, and clipped lures out of the trees.

Greens keeper pulled up with a puzzled look, and asked what we were doing. I told him we were lure hunting. He just laughed and drove off.

We try to pick up other peoples line and [censored] they leave laying around.

I find if we treat the area with respect, they give us free run.

I worked a couple of summers a few years ago at a golf course at their cart barn. Bunch of older guys worked there and they got free golf as part of their deal....since everybody only got minimum wage it was a big bonus for those guys. I don't golf so I asked to fish the ponds on the course. Caught lots of 3,4,5 lb bass in those ponds. I'd work the early shift sometimes and after I put a bunch of carts out I hit a couple of the closer ponds and would just slay'em for an hour or so. Lots of fun...:)

I was gonna go back but they got a new course manager and he said no to fishing so I blew it off going back.
