I keep up with my family in Oklahoma with it. Once I started using the extra security where I get a text when I sign on that requires an authorization code I have not been hacked.

I haven't been hacked as far as I know of in the 10-11 years I been on there. I have eliminated almost all political nut cases from my friends list. I follow a few news pages, but try not to comment much on those. I use it mostly for following music, car, and sports pages. It makes Facebooking much less annoying.

I've had a FB account for about 12 years but I finally quit posting to it at the first of this year. There was never anything original there anyway, just a bunch of goofy krap or political (mostly radical in both directions) that someone had "shared".
I did not close my account because there a several groups that I belong to that still use it as a communication tool and it has always worked great for that.
Family is everything!
Life is precious. We don’t have forever. We have now. This moment. We can choose to love our lives now.

I was raised in a little town in east tenn.and there weren't many jobs in that area so I had to live elsewhere...facebook is good way to stay in touch with people you grew up with as kids plus other friends you have made over the years.... kind of amusing to see people with 20,000 posts on a fishing forum blasting people for having a facebook account....

I did not "close" my account, only deactivated it. I can still get stuff from messenger. I'm going to monitor whether things are posted using my name via my closest friend, my wife.

If you have any of those $19 Ray Bans left I could use a couple pairs.

I support this plan. Primarily because you didn’t say “wifey”.
