The National Museum of the Pacific War and the LBJ Ranch are very interesting.

The museum is great...we also liked watching the bats at the Old Tunnel.

Cranky Frank's BBQ on the south side of town is pretty good. You're also close to the Alamo Springs Cafe (about 10 miles south) which makes maybe the best burgers in the state of Texas!

Take the tour at Grape Creek.

And yes, the museum is a must.

Plenty of good eats.

The Wildseed Farms

Garrison Bros is just down the road in Hye

Enchanted Rock is about 45 minutes out

Luckenbach

Alamo Springs Gen Store & Cafe (a must)

When we went there was a 5th grade class of about 50 down on the platform at the entrance. They were so noisy the bats went out the other end. We saw no bats. Pizzed me off a bit.

BTW Alamo Springs Cafe is right there by the state park for the bats.

The WW2 museum is fantastic. Plan to spend 3-4 hours if you want to see it all (could easily spend 5-6 if you wanted to).

Fat [censored] winery is fun, Altstadt has great beer and Garrison Brothers distillery is great too. Basically stay out of Fredricksburg and drink
