Fireworks everywhere in our unincorporated neighborhood last night. Not a bother to me but seems like a big waste of money and often by those who can least afford them. Some spend several hundred dollars. Been to a few firework shows that I enjoyed, but usually get bored before they are over. Oh well, as I said, I don't really care, but seems like a waste.

I thought sparklers were cool as a kid till we moved to Japan.
Then 100 yen, 28 cents, would buy you a big bag of cherry bombs, bottle rockets and other things that would go boom.

It was fun but got old pretty quick. I still like short public firework shows.

The one put on here where my inlaws live is the best I've seen. We have a front row seat in their back yard. They shoot them off right across the pond.
