I've heard a lot of livescope users state that once you learn crappie behavior you can catch them pretty easy. What does this mean? Does it have to do with the way you work the jig triggering the bite? Or is it how you approach the school with the boat? I'm hoping it has to do with presentation. Thanks

All of the above. Main thing is, you can drop your jig and watch how they react to it. If I have my jig directly over a bunch of fish, I slowly lift it to see if any of them follow it. If they do, I hesitate and let them have a chance at it. Often times, it seems that the competitive nature kicks in and one fish of several will grab it before the others can get it.

Fishin' to stock Lake Crisco.

Heres what I do. I see the fish and move the jig around until they bite it. If they check it out and dont bite it, I change colors. LiveScope is great because you can stop your bait before it hits the brush. I never get stuck now and I know if fish are interested.

Thanks j791, that helps. I had heard that the crappie will move as the boat passes over them.

If you are fishing stick ups, don't let the boat touch the stick ups. Ask me how I know!!!

I don't have Spot Lock -- YET!!!!!!

Its not at all uncommon to see fish get under your boat. They will leave cover at times to get under your boat.

I'll properly call it "Lovescope" smile

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!
