Yep, big crowd up there today. Say what you want, they're leveraging their platforms and building brand across a number of channels.

Never really heard of them, or their plans to open shop. I fish 4-5 days a week, 51 yrs old, spend around $150-$200 a week on the hobby, and fish 2-3 tourneys a week.

.....my guess is Im NOT THEIR DEMOGRAPHIC. cheers

Good luck with the Googan shop.

I love seeing y'all talking about them. I'm no fan by any means, but I don't see any of y'all opening stores with your own baits and having millions of fans wanting autographs and pictures..

Holy [censored]. How jealous are you?

The question is. How retarded are you. Just because someone doesn't like guys that act like dbags does not make him jealous. It gets old hearing that

Like them or not these dudes are doing the American dream. Built their own brand and are making it bigger than the big brands that are out there. Got to give them some respect for that

You're exactly right. It's the millions of teens and early twenties that follow the YouTube crowd.

The googan squad's success has come down to how well they relate to their audience. It's not just, well younger people are on youtube so that's why they follow them. It's because the way those guys started they weren't fishing out of $70,000 rigs and constantly plugging a sponsor. They were 'pond hopping'...they were doing things that younger people could get out and do pretty easily without spending much money.

Personally, I think what they're doing is great but they've never been my thing. I'm younger, I'm in my early twenties, but growing up, guys like Steve Kennedy and Rick Clunn appealed to me more. Always held their passion for fishing above pushing a sponsor or seeking attention.

FYI Googan baits work well, buddy of mine had some and was really catching them good from the back of the boat. I switched and started getting more bites, I don't think the action is unique it's something to do with the scent. I will definitely be buying some.

Are they in biz with Geek Squad?....I guess I'm not in their target audience, either, or not smart enough to follow the "in" thing in bass fishing. Never heard of 'em but I try not to travel too far out of my comfort zone.

Every 5th person standing in line was over 40. Someone had to bring the youngsters up there.

Personally I wish them great success. I would be right in the middle of the Youtube crowd if I were a "little" younger. I enjoy seeing myself catch fish on video, I freely admit it.

Yeah sometimes they act like silly teenagers in front of the camera but which one of us hasn't?? pollo

I agree 100%. Having success by being yourself and doing what you love. I'm 52 and think they fill a need in the fishing community.

Ding, ding, ding!!!! We have a winner! They are not targeting you....or me. Different and virtually untapped audience. Wont see one piece coveralls, ball caps that purposely carried in your back pocket..... Wont see Bill Dance or Jimmy Houston on their commercials. Doubt Ill be supporting them financially but I absolutely wish success to a company whos appeal to the younger audience could cause more young people to choose the outdoors as their hobby/passion. For the others that cant grasp this idea just keep hating!
