We caught most of our fish in 10-15 feet of water, but the big one came from about 5 feet.

The majority of the bass we caught were undersized. 1 good fish, a couple that were barely legal, and a bunch of dinks.

The wife and I fished this past Wed. - Was overcast with Sun breaking thru periodically with a slight breeze. Caught around 10 undersized fish and lost a few at the boat. All fish came from 10-20 ' deep using carolina rigged Senkos around brush. My wife has always been a Spinnerbait Gal- but she tried Worm fishing and caught her 1st fish on a Senko. By the end of the Day she was setting the Hook with a Vengeance grin ALL & All it was an enjoyable trip with very little Boat traffic. Might head back next Tuesday if weather permits ? Rio

Went out Sunday morning. Calm water, overcast, and little boat traffic. Caught some under sized bass on rattle trap in about 15-20 feet of water. Caught a nice 14" Crappie on a top water of all things. Must have been hungry. Most activity I have seen in a while. Looks like things may be picking up! Water temp was at 76.4. Tons of bait fish in coves next to the shore.

I thought 10 was a bit ridiculous, get the annual pass for $50 and be done with it. I guess theyll raise that too...

The two marinas Joe's and Red's have been and are charging $15 to launch. Perhaps Bandera's county ramp wants to jump on the boat by increasing their fees now since the lake is holding her level.

I can't really fault those folks cashing in with less than a handful of public access ramps around the lake, and the fact that a full Medina Lake is as rare as hens teeth, and has been waaaay down over decades more than it has ever been up, and that goes back to when I was a kid in the early 60's fishing for whitebass in the river channel, where there was once a lake.
Not long ago that lake was about to dry up, so Medina is boom or bust, but mostly bust!

Just one more cast!
