Got about 5" of rain yesterday here in Angelo and several more predicted to fall in the next 3 days. Ivie and Buttes should collect a bunch more.

So, what's the deal with OC Fisher?

OC Fisher and EV Spence are fed from a different watershed. Last September during the first round of heavy rains they both caught a good bit of water but sadly not much since. FWIW OC Fisher has been great so far this year but has also seen a lot more pressure cause of Buttes being so tough.

Won't be a mudhole in just 2 years and even when it was 30' low people were catching 25# stringers.

Some were catching bigger than that bolt

Heard Ivie called many things, but never a mudhole and I will second the suggestion of don't come west right now,if the people that live out here say it's tough, listen to them.

It's definitely one of those lakes. You can feel like a hero or a zero.

It was a rough day to say the least. The amount of shad I saw on Ivie was unreal, every where we went thousands of baby shad surronded the boat. With all the shad its amazing we even caught a fish.

I lost the biggest smallie I have ever had hooked on Sunday, she ate a big Nichols spoon in 30 and was sitting on a rock pile. She rocketed straight up and went 2-3 feet out of the water and threw the spoon. She probably would have taken second all by herself. The largemouth bite was nonexistent.

Spence on the other hand was fishing good before this rain. Havent been out in the boat, but caught a few behind the house this evening. She is up about 12 as of this evening.

Guess everyone has their own interpretation of what a "mudhole" is....

It's only a good cast if you catch a fish...
