That's just plain nasty!
Who would want to drive in a van???

Who wouldn't want too. Free spirit my brother. Nothing but the open road and pure adventure. I'm even having a cover band re-record the ZZ Top song..."'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a dude in a sweet a$$ van" to play on loud speakers as I cruise small towns and check out the local festivals.

Alrighty then-
I’ll change the reason for the nasty comment to the hairy chicks lol-

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

I have got 12 acres about 2 miles from Lake Fork. That's my primary plan. I would consider Arkansas. If my kids move to Florida, I would consider going there as well.

Bora Bora. Only things you need to own is t-shirt, shorts and sandals. Build a hut on the beach. When life is done feed you to the fish.

Right here in my grandfather's house . Just can't leave 50+ years of memories . Family going back 150+ years all buried within 30 miles , Monti/Sandlin about six miles away . I'm good .

Just want to make folks smile, and spit coffee on their keyboard.

If you put beans in your chili, you don't know beans about chili.

God doesn't create temporary people, you will spend eternity somewhere. Choose wisely.

As long as we are mobile we are splitting our time between Rhome and Point Blank. After that, we will have to choose I suppose.

Nowhere. Or maybe I should say everywhere. Wife quits work when I quit, then we hit the road with the RV and tour the USofA. And some of Canada too. Got no interest at all going anywhere south of the Rio Grande. Travel Northwards in the summer, Southwards in the winter. When the time comes and we're too old and decrepit to continue we'll settle someplace not-quite-on the Gulf Coast, far enough inland we don't have to be overly concerned with any of the occasional hurricanes.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

The new place we are building is geared for when we are not gonna be as physically able to get around, like wider doorways you can get a walker through and a bench for the shower, and no stairs or steps,.
I home visited many, many elderly folks for years in my work before I retired and there a large number of people that are trapped in small sections of their home because of stairs and steps.
The house should be finished in July, then we are going to have a pond dug out, there is a spot were two small creeks intersect that will make a great little pond.

There tons of areas that are "nicer' but we can just go visit there and come back home.

Great advice on having a home that has ready access. Also need to consider proximity to medical care. Found my nirvana just outside the city limits of the thriving metropolis of Mineola.

LOL. Maybe some day they will write songs about the "van creeper" and you'll be a legend.

Beautiful part of God's Country. I could do that myself.
