The thread on trolling motors got me thinking... For me, I believe the Ultrex is the single biggest game changer for fishing in my lifetime. I'd rather have that thing than a fish finder. What say everyone else? What's the been the biggest game changer to the sport in your lifetime?

Id have to say an impossible to decide tie between side imaging and the Ultrex. Ive tried to decide which one I could give up. Cant decide. Thanks goodness I dont have too!

In Webster's dictionary game changer is synonymous with Ultrex. No need to look it up I already did. 
I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed.

I would have to say the Ultrex as well, side imaging is big but I could get by without it if I had to. My Hydrowave H2, BABY!!!!! Just kidding. Not sure it even works. I know my Ultrex does. My Carbons are good, but I havent won anything BECAUSE I have them. Cannot say that about my TM.

I think it is the internet in general. Google Earth, Youtube, TFF. I had to read Bassmasters, Bassin' and Honey Hole to learn when I was a kid, on Saturdays I had to watch Jimmy Houston, Bill Dance, Hank Parker and Bassmasters on TNN. It's much easier to learn nowadays.

I use the features of the ultrex but honestly would not call it a a game changer. Just another tool to help me catch a fish or 2. Electronics, side scan and live imagining have changed how we all fish.

Technology can be ground breaking, but information/knowledge has more power. This! Live scope, ultrex, power poles & my Lowrance units have all contributed to tournament wins for me. Google earth & the internet has too! For me its technology as a whole. I won a lot of events on local lakes without even a graph on my old boat. I could never compete on a national stage without all the items above.
