Have any of you used the Pronav Angler GPS Autopilot to convert your PowerDrive V2 minn Kota trolling motor to spot lock I-pilot functionality? If so does it work just as well as spotlock to keep you anchored on structure?

I have a Power Drive V2 that I picked up a couple years ago from Gander Mt. when they were going out of business. I then purchased the module from Cabela's to convert it to spot lock. Took me about 30 minutes to do the conversion. I know it doesn't hold as well as the higher end models and I am unable to use the foot pedal. But, for my little boat it works just fine. I think the reason that it doesn't hold as tight is because of the flat front on my boat and it tends to "wander" around if the wind is blowing.
