I have a 1983 Alumacraft 14 foot with a 35 HP Evinrude. I am really looking hard at these iPilot trolling motors. I am looking at the Minn Kota PowerDrive 55 Trolling Motor 48" Shaft Length 55lbs Thrust 12Volts With iPilot And Bluetooth. All I'm really interested in is spotlock. I can pick it up for $1100. SMDH, my boat was only $600 more. I,m pretty sure this will handle a boat this small. Thoughts?

OP, It should do the boat well. I've a 16ft river jon with a Terrova 55lb with BT and I-link. It's done everything I've asked and expected of it since I installed it. Even in wind and river current.
