Boyd thought he could just throw his rich way around and everyone would just bow down. Guess he just learned that he’s not that big a deal. I and a lot of people have quit watching the show. I’m sure the companies are aware of what is truly happening and will keep him in his place. How many of you haters bagging on Boyd even know the man?

If anyone listened to Boyd's hour and a half interview in response to the letter handed out, perhaps some opinions would change. I know mine did.
He stated they are not in competition with the other leagues, although it may seem that way when you are focused on growing your league. I thought he explained himself pretty well.

But if you are going to be the spokesman for the renegade bunch that is trying to put B.A.S.S. out of business you better grow thick skin and quick.

I'm not their spokesman and I have plenty thick skin, slim. The "renegade" bunch includes a bunch of guys that were worshiped when they were with B.A.S.S. and fishing for their entry fees or less. They told B.A.S.S. for years something had to change. When B.A.S.S. refused to do anything about it, most of the best in the sport jumped ship. Now they're no longer worshiped? Funny how business works.

I support both tours, but the idea that the guys cannot go to the Classic expo and support their sponsors and fans going forward is disgusting. If those guys are at the expo beyond next season, I think it will be a miracle, but what is is really hurting? The fans get to see them, get a pic, and talk ? It does not matter whether they are on a competing tour, it still is great to have them tell you about new products etc. To an extent they are crossbranding by going to the Classic Expo and working for the sponsors. I honestly think behind the scenes the goal is to destroy BASS. Everything certainly points that way. I also would not be surprised if by 2021 or 22 you see a MLF event butted up against the Classic just to once again continue the fight, rather than live and let live. At every turn it seems like MLF wants to hurt BASS. Sad to see , because it does not have to be that way. If anything, it’s backfiring on BPT/MLF. Duckett needs to let someone else do the talking. Maybe the anglers voted on not working the Classic and Boyd is acting as the scapegoat? I would suspect that Boyd and the management team decided this and the anglers had zero to do with a vote of no participation at the expo. Think about it, next season is the 50th Classic, your current Classic Champions are almost all MLF guys. How do you have a big celebration with no KVD, Jordan Lee, Edwin , Ott and Ike ? That is 9 of your previous 49.

Oscar Wilde keep in mind Oscar wilde was a playwright back in the 1800's when there were few ways to advertise a product....things have changed in todays world especially in favor of the consumer.....at one time companies could sell a defective product and get away with it...perfect example was a 1986 Mercury XR-6 and I had nothing but problems with that motor and my dealer kept telling me I was the only one with problems...took 2-3 years for the word to get around but almost everyone had problems with that engine......with social media and all the forums out there, companies can't get away with that now so bad publicity in todays "connected" world will put you out of business....just ask OMC/Johnson outboards....

I wonder how long these anglers are going to enjoy being employees? It starts with stuff like this and which tournaments you can fish and then pretty soon they’ll have zero control over the brands on their body and boats.
That’s fine if you’re getting paid but what happens to the guys who stink at this format and fail to earn checks? Eventually they’ll have to leave whether by choice or a cut and now likely without the sponsor relationships they had before.

On a different route a good company can be ruined when a group of vicious ne'er do wells attack it online.
