 1999 200 Hp Merc Stalling

My 1999 200 Hp Merc Salt Water runs fine on the water, no problem with takeoff or running but when I try to power it on the trailer it stalls and dies as I increase the throttle....seems to always be about the same rpm

Is this carbureted ? I have a 97 Johnson did the same thing. Rebuilt carbs and everything was good to go. Might just have a vacuum leak also, a good shop won't charge too much to look that over.

Fuel hose is a problem these. I don`t know how many I have found bad on 1998 to 2008 Mercs.
