Happy Easter! We battled the 20-30mph N wind Friday at Decker. My friend Fonzell and his daughter joined me to put enough Crappie in the cooler for Good Friday's dinner. Then, we went to a protected shoreline to find some Hybrids until we ran out of Shad.

Ended up with about 20 Crappies, a drum, and 2 hybrids. Watch the end to see the wind wreaking havoc on the landing....

My friend Matt informed me that Fonzell might have caught the lake record (of 1.86 lbs). I only measured length, and even had a scale and didn't even weigh her. Tell me he's wrong that a 15.5" Crappie weighs about 2lbs. Tear tears....

I posted the video on the whitebass forum.

Looks like you fished the same tree with the big rootball as in the previous video. Nice bunch of fish.

I still failed in my duties by not even knowing, and I even had a digital scale. Big dummy me.

Very observant of you. In the last vid, I said I found 5 brushpiles and said I'd be hitting these again and again; it's a gift that keeps on giving. That tree was too good to pass up smile

I discovered crappie for the first time on Decker last spring while taking some young kids out there . We were fishing live bait for ditch pickles, instead of bass they were landing some rather large black crappie!
Thanks for sharing Tim! I always enjoy your videos.
