We'll be at a wedding in Lake Charles LA in June then from there going straight to Fork. I've never been down that way. Would it be better going through Lufkin and Tyler or cut up through Carthage and Longview? My wife and daughter get carsick on really windy roads.

I recommend dropping wife and daughter off at wedding and then go to Fork...sounds legit

Get the WAZE app and follow it. Best I've found, from short to long distance routes. I use it daily.

If you decide on the Lufkin, Tyler, Mineola route on 69 take advantage of the new toll loop 49 from just South of Tyler to North of Lindale.
The time savings is well worth the money.
