Not sure when it became the norm for truckers to shoot over into the left lane.....cutting people off.....because there's a car/truck on the right shoulder.
I understand getting over if no one is there......but almost causing an accident to do it is ignorant.
Truckers are terrible.

In general, I disagree, but I didn't see what you saw in that specific case. Also makes a difference if the vehicle on the shoulder is occupied/being worked on or if it is abandoned.

Almost as careless as those who habitually speed.

LOL.... yes overall truck drivers arent what they used to be, but there are still plenty of darn good ones out there. I was cut off this morning by a white pickup, therefore every person driving a white pickup sucks. Same logic.

Like the ones that totally ignore the "No Trucks in Left Lane" signs on 635 and I30. I see it almost every day. Oh, and the signs apply to 14 wheelers and power units too,

It is the safe way to drive. You should have been aware of the situation beforehand and slowed, allowing the truck to come over. Your daughter/son with a flat or other vehicle emergency on the side of the roadway would be spared getting smucked out. Share the road, be aware, slow down, be respectful and life will be better. Granted there are some steeing wheel holders that don't need to be driving, but casting a broad net of all truckers are terrible is irresponsible.

you should try "finishing" those that come out of "truck driving" school, guess why I have no follicles left on top.
still some good old school drivers out on the road but they dam sure aren't pulling oilfield or gravel wagons, a lot of the over the road are idiots as well. count how many you see on the cell phone some day, it is illegal per fed regs and a pretty serious ticket now (wish it was for 4 wheelers too).
also realize that a lot of leo in the dfw area are also dot certified, they can raise cain with drivers if ya just call and report them, mostly sheriffs depts.

Truck drivers can be infuriating. Not only do they cut people off to get in the left lane, then they take 6 miles to pass the car or big rig they are getting out from behind blocking both lanes in the process. While not all truck drivers do this, it seems to be the norm these days.

truckers cause almost all heavy traffic. Yes we need them, but stay in the slow lane!! 99% they are passing another trucker and they take 2-3 miles to pass. You can tell they just have it on cruise control and are going 2mph faster so they move over to pass blocking 20 cars from passing. Watch next time you drive south on 35
