Finally a 3 pound Crappie in my boat!!!!
With some monster Crappie caught on trips with clients the last few weeks 2.95, 2.75, 2.70 2.71, we finally done
it!!!!
She went 2.99 on my rapala scales. We are calling her 3 pounds you can’t get any closer.
I Took a couple days off to pre-fish for the Crappie Masters tournament this weekend. Tom has been trying to get in but I’ve been booked up. And I told him you owe it to yourself to give Lake Fork a try. So I told him come on and you can come pre-fishing with me.
Tom’s never caught a two pounder crappie so that was our goal on this trip and, he wanted to see the live scope in action.

It’s always a great time when Tom and Leslie get to fish with me . But this trip was memorable and amazing!!!
So Tuesday Tom caught his first two pounder.On livescope we seen her spoke and then go under the boat. She stayed under the boat as I started to back up and she kept following the boat, I told him we’re gonna catch this fish. We backed up probably 70 yards then I hung a hard right I told him to drop fast!! and he dropped it right on her and she nailed it. Got her in and weighed her and she was actually 2 pounds.

Day two Wednesday was the big day. It was only Tom and I Leslie stayed at the cabin. We hit another Area of the lake.
We pulled up to a tree in 23 foot of water. And there where Three fish setting in it I told him to drop on the top one first at 4 foot deep. He did and missed the target about 3 foot, but she swim over fast and hammered his jig. She ran like a Sandbass and rapped him up in the tree. After he got her out of the tree she rapped up in the trolling motor by this time I’m already having a heart attack 😂 . But I finally got her netted and in the boat.
Congratulations Tom on a once in a lifetime fish. She going to look good on the wall!!!
The big fish was caught on a BoneHead Tackle Stump Bugs in Palestine special.
