Hopefully it will pick up soon. I saw a couple photos pop up from last year were I caught around 40. The past couple times I've been out there I've only caught 1 if any in a few hours of fishing. Not sure if it's the crazy weather or something else but I would have thought that they would be biting by now.

That water is just too cold yet with all of the roller coaster weather patterns unless you are targeting deeper depths of 60 ft, shallow patterns will need some weather stability. Debra

I ended up with 6 on Saturday in 4 hours. They seems to be moving up a bit but everything I hooked was in around 25' - 30' of water. I didn't get any hits near the bank which is completely different than this time last year. I'll blame it on the weather being all over the place. I fished cranks and jigs for a bit with no luck. I ended up getting all of mine on a 6" plastic worm Texas-rigged.

It was a dink fest today. Water temp was 64 to 68 and a chartreuse spinnerbait got the bites. Wind blew pretty good keeping the temperature at check. Overall, a bunch of little ones was better than none at all. Keep your lines tight.

I was out a week ago with a buddy. He caught one that went 6.85 pounds and overall we caught about 30 total. As the water warms up, it will just get better.

There are some monster crappie I have accidently caught fishing deep brush piles.
I don't think there is a whole lot of them but there are definitely a few.
There is a guide that will guide you for them out there, couldn't tell you what he does as I don't really crappie fish myself, sorry.
Edit - the weekend night fishing crowd catches all kinds of things off the dock at Joe's place, they are always friendly when we have late weigh ins during the summer, im sure one of them could help if no one replys here.
