Don't think this could happen today with all the extra security and triple checking of passenger lists; but about 35 years ago, my mom boarded and got on the wrong flight at Love Field.
When she landed in ABQ instead of San Antonio, they just put her on the next flight to San Antonio.

Road Amtrak to SA with mom when I was 13-14. Went to Sea World, got in an argument with her. She told me to just go do my thing and she'd do hers. So I did, watched many shows and had a good day. When it was time to leave I went to the front gate and heard my name on the loud speaker. Mom finally spotted me and came running. She was crying and sunburnt. I thought that was weird.

My parents had sex, at least twice that I can prove. It doesn't get any more odd than that.

I came home on leave once and pulled up to an empty house. The had moved without telling me. I just sat there, an orphan. A neighbor finally came out and gave me their new address. I hollered at them for making me an orphan.

My mom tried to get on a plane with a loaded .38 once. It was before 9/11 but it still didn't go very well for her.

My mom tried to get on a plane with a loaded .38 once. It was before 9/11 but it still didn't go very well for her. I would love to know the story of why she carried a loaded 38, I didn't know of any other mom's that packed. You care to share?

My dad used to always microwave food in the styrofoam containers and it'd melt all over his food and he'd get so sad and throw it out. I remember him doing that when I was a kid, all the way up to right before he passed away. Never learned his lesson.

My stepmother was a Jehovah's Witness and my stepfather was a devout Atheist. Try living around that. Argued all the time over religion but managed to stay married for 50 years.
