Try parachute cord for replacing that broken strang. You can find it at Army Surplus.

carried my minnkota to lakeside this morning to get it repaired, hopefully before this weekend due to having a tournament. He called a couple of hours ago and its ready for pick-up. Told me what was broken, how he fixed it, replaced a couple of other small parts that needed repair and didn't charge me an arm and a leg

I've often wondered about that little shack on 515 for trolling motor repair. Now my curiosity has been fulfilled. chit chack. I'll drive back to town before going there. a $2 allen wrench aint much compared to more business. most respectable adults would definitely bring it back along with the business associated with it.

Trolling motor issue. Take it to Bryan Sartin at Sartin Marine in Yantis. What phenomenal service. He had my trolling motor repaired in 30 minutes this morning. A super nice bunch of people. He has certainly earned my business from now on. I'm going to add two Helix 10's, an Ultrex and Talons. I'll have Sartin Marine install all of it. Five Stars

Bart Armstrong

Its a shame repairman wouldnt help you out in time of need. What goes around comes around. Especially when you had to walk and offered cash deposit. This aint right

Sartin Maine has taken very good care of me as well. Trolling motor repair and Talon repair. Johnson outdoors should have hired me to test that Talon because I've had to have mine rebuilt twice and have broke the fiberglass pole as well. I broke the pole once and rolled into Sartin about 30 minutes before they closed on a Saturday. The guy dropped what he was doing and changed out my pole while I waited. I'll be back over and over for that type service.

I've been in there twice.... treated me fair and fixed my issue on the spot.... I don't need my hand held or a latte' while I wait.... maybe he just doesn't like a certain kind of person? I can tell he's a gruff old [censored] hole....but so am I, and thus no issues

OK,...I find this hard to believe. I was in there just a couple of weeks ago and I dealt with a young fellow about 35-40 maybe, and kinda slender. He had a yard full of boats because it was Big Bass Splash Saturday, He was going ninety to nothing trying to get these guys back on the water. They all seemed very pleased with the work that was being done... About a week before that tournament I had a Garmin installed on my bow, and the transducer that was mounted to my trolling motor was causing interference when the trolling motor was running.(very common problem with the 93SV) I asked him to take a look at it,...he was very polite and asked me if possible to come back Monday because he was swamped. Since I was there for the week I had no problem coming on Monday. He was there sharply at 8am as promised, and started right in to look for the problem... We went to eat breakfast and was back in about an hour...He told me it was going to be a while because the normal fixes haven't worked. I said no problem, call me when you are done....Noon he calls and I head back. He told me he had done everything he could think of, checked everything, grounded this, and respiced that, replaced the fuse, grounded the batteries, etc..etc..he reset the graph,..and got about 80% of the interference cleared,...much better for me. SO,..when I said "how much" he says 'no charge',...I didn't get it fixed.....IMO..he went beyond the call of duty,...I got great service,...I will go back. I never did see an old codger.... I did pay him for his time and effort, and I had to make him take it...

That ol fella is a bit of a codger, but at the same time I understand not letting your tools you make your living with walk out of your shop... Hell, Ive got about 80 Allen wrenches from various stuff weve bought, like grills, furniture, etc. OP offered to buy it or lease it, and surely the guy has more than one Allen wrench. Seems like a missed opportunity by the TM guy.
