I hope it's the beginning of the end to tournament weigh ins personally. I don't even fish tournaments but I know there is more mortality by keeping a fish all day versus immediately letting it go.

It's not just the weigh-in, which I like. It's also the dynamic of making sure you get back to the weigh-in site on time. Some lakes it doesn't matter, but on river systems with locks or delta systems it is Everything. I think the MLF format takes a very interesting component out of the game. Maybe it will become the standard in 10-15 years and all we'll need are 18 ft metal boats with 90 horse electric outboards because all the tournaments are stupid "start on your hole" events, but for now I like the suspense of waiting for the last team to weigh-in.

You were reading my mind. It seems he makes sure everyone knows that the BPT is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Its kind of irritating that we are all wrong but him!!

Thats an interesting point and Im sure theyre are plenty of people that enjoy that part of playing the game no doubt. I can tell you that the launch is completely irrelevant and a waste of time. Weve seen firsthand for over a decade the advantages of removing pain points and log jams in the process. This is along the same lines. Progress will prevail.

Ahh, slim bless your heart man, thats where youre wrong (again). Myself and my business partner and our internal team control our destiny and make our living. We certainly work hard to add value for our sponsors/partners and value their contributions to our businesses tremendously but they dont make our living for us. cheers

I could watch either but I prefer the 5 fish. Maybe a big 5 mlf format would be interesting but not the 1.7 pound average for 30 fish. However, I can see normal peope enjoying the guys catching bass no matter the size. My most productive vids view wise always have more fish caught then size with the exception of one.

When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip!
