I'm just saying that if the dog is going to kill someone, and since they are prone to do so, I'm just glad it's not an 'innocent' person! That would not be the owner (since she was the one stupid enough to buy a loaded gun and play Russian roulette with it).

I don�t either, nor do I believe Michael does. But the facts remain it is a dangerous breed that causes many of the problems with attack�s. I am a fan of exterminating the breed all together. It would benefit society as a whole. They�re useless.

I've never owned one. Never will. Been around plenty of them in the past. Never have I felt scared around them. But I don't live my life in fear. When my number is up. Whether it's natural causes, car wreck, or a pit bull. Time's up regardless.

No..... and your liability insurance won't cover a pitt for liability if they kill an innocent. But I bet most people who own pitts don't have homeowners insurance to begin with. Or money to go after. Dak going to pay for his too. A finger not going to be cheap. He does have money.

I�m not a huge fan of pits, but cmon, a dog is a dog, any animal, domestic or wild can turn on its owner, it�s a risk you take when owning a pet, particularly a big dog. Things like this don�t happen very often and I�d hazard to say any ankle biter is meaner than a pit. It�s a bit of a bold statement/move to start eradicating the breed. Last I checked cocker spaniels were higher on the recorded bite list than pits (it could�ve changed however).

Better be dirt poor or have nothing if you own one. Spaniels can be insured for liability. Just saying. Pitt and Doberman and Rott.... Not so much.

There is a heck of a difference between getting badly scratched and minor bites that what a pit bull does when it gets mad or turns or turns on someone.

You just proved my point that death isnt the problem but only the one way that people die is. Alcohol is by far a major killer and yet some who drink still chose to drink and drive thinking you wont kill a family and yet the drunk didnt attack with out provocation.

My thoughts on owning a Pit Bull is, it's sorta like driving around without your seat belt on.

says a lot. I know all pit bulls have not YET attacked anyone but there is a good chance they will before they die. I wouldn't want one anywhere near my family. I think if anyone owns one and it gets free and hurts someone they should be held responsible for any damage done by the dog. I would add any other breed known for this same aggressive behaviour.

Years ago my wife and i went out some friends house for a cookout. They had a pit bull that seemed friendly enough but when we all got up from the picnic table to go back into the house the dog suddenly lunged for my wife's neck. I kicked the dog in the nads and got him on the ground and tried to choke the life out of it. They defended the dog so we cut ties with them.

I have had enough of my own experiences to be afraid of them. When I was a kid we were almost ran down by one that most certainly might have killed one of us. One smashed trough or rear door into our living room full of people and my dad was quick enough to club it on the head. My co-workers child was badly injured by a neighbors pit.

If you new that one pool manufacturer made pools that would suddenly be able to reach out to the street and pull someone back in and drown them (but not all the time, just sometimes, at random, maybe one in 10 pools), whereas no other pool manufacturer made one like that, which would you purchase?

Absolutely horrifying. And if you did a search, you could find hundreds of photos of folks faces after being mauled by pits. Don't think I will though. I like what one of you said, the only good pit is a dead one!
