Is that spillway on the north or south side of 380? I'm not sure where the "substation" you are talking about is either. Sorry for my ignorance on the subject, I just don't have any experience with that area. I've looked on the map, but I'm still not positive.

We can add doe creek to the list of ruined creeks now lol. Will never understand posting creeks on here. Not to mention posting a map with where to park and walk to the water.

With the elm fork. Those fish can still go up through those jams. There are fish there somewhere I can promise you that.

Well, thanks to those of you that tried to help a novice out. I ventured out this morning. Only place I was able to get to the creek was under the bridge on 380. Saw a couple of guys there who said they had been catching a few small ones earlier. It was their first time down there too. Nothing for me but tree bass though. I still was unsure about the substation and the spillway. And I didn't feel like being too adventurous by myself, especially with all the crazy traffic around there in the morning. So not a great day, but at least I wasn't at work.

Dry Fishing - a spillway refers to the area beneath a reservoir's dam. Fishing below a dam can be very good if higher-than-normal amount of water is being released because the predatory fish are attracted to the current and the spillage of bait fish from the lake to the river - check river/creek flow websites after a heavy rain.
