Does Jussie Smollett bass fish?

From reading the comments it seems the facebook crowd isn't taking it to seriously either.

The fishing must be really good in Selado right now to come up with a story like that too keep people away?

Common sense would say to go but stay on the American side of the border but pay attention to what is going on around you.
I've fished down there plenty of times in the past on the Mexico side, before all the drama began so I understand that once you cross those markers you are in a foreign country.
Look around you and you won't see many boats that you can identify as someone who will come to your rescue if something goes wrong, so when you see a boat approaching you might forget about what you are doing and start concentrating on that strange boat.
Is it a fisherman, or another bass boat with people fishing for bass like yourself, or is it someone watching you waiting for the right time to approach you?
That's what I'm saying, and don't look for any of the guys telling you it's OK because they've been there multiple times and never had a problem because they won't be there to help you.
Not worth it for a bass, when you can catch the same fish on the American side of the lake.
As for trying to scare people away, a person only has to look at the recent history down there, and make their own decision on if they should believe it or not.

I have not seen any official news reports on this. Has anyone contacted the local Law Enforcement down there to find out any thing. Something does not seem right about this. The OP should have done some research on this before posting some Facebook report. Just my two cents.



Side Note: A boat with three people on board chasing another boat with two people on board,shooting at them over 30 times with a AR 15. This is the first time I have ever heard of something like this happening on Falcon. The last major news story I have heard about on Falcon was a few years back when some lady stated that her husband was shot and killed by robbers while her and her husband were jet skiing. Law Enforcement even thinks the story she was telling was fake and did not happen.

You would think that if the story is true that they would put out some sort of warning to boaters going across as I'm sure they have done in the past.

They must be some poor shots slinging 30 rounds and miss every one of them. Sketchy story IMO.

Even though I'm the OP, the first thing that crossed my mind was how in the hell did they miss 30 times? Also, a 5 mile chase in the Salado doesn't sound reasonable either. As far as Laker One saying that I needed to research the FB post before posting here, I would suggest he follow the link I posted and ask himself if it seemed credible enough to throw it out there on TFF Fished Falcon many times and will continue to do so but as always I am vigilant of my surroundings, I for one do want to hear about any goings on at Falcon and do not require iron clad/certified proof.

I can't speak for you but as more me I would have done a little more fact checking before posting a story like this. That is just me.



Side Note: Weather the facts would support or not support the story at least they could have been added instead of making this story seem that it actually happened. Again just my opinion.

Why? The OP wasn't writing an opinion piece. Someone has publicly stated that they were in a lengthy high speed boat chase in Mexico with bad guys and guns. If it's true, it's a big story and people should know about it. If it's fake news, that too is a big story and people should know about it and the source.

Meh, if they wanted them dead they would have been dead. It was nothing more than scaring them off.

That same boat has been reported numerous times involved in incidents around the lake over the past few years. I know a guide on that lake that was robbed at gunpoint I believe by that same boat while a client was in the boat.
