Man you nailed it

It's bad that we have to get our tails whipped in the boat to go ahead and realize that your version of some bait is nothing like the version your partner's throwing... roflmao But it's fun being on the other side of that.

I agree with most of the other folks on here. It's stupid how much they cost, but they do catch more fish. What's that worth to you?

I believe they get more bites and just have better quality components. Being that I fish quite a few tournaments I want to have a product I know will give me a better chance of getting more bites and putting fish in the boat.

I also buy the cheap chatter bait when on sale at academy. Take the blade off then make my own. You can almost duplicate a jackhammer for much cheaper. It's all about the thin blade and how it connects to the head

For me, 20lb fluorocarbon and 40lb braid work best on a 7-7'3 heavy squarebill type rod

Chatterbaits already work great. If I was fishing tournaments, and a few % of anything working better might matter, I might buy one
at triple the price over the regular. Don't see the value for it at this time. Found out about them hearing the MLF tournament guys mentioning them,
for them, I could see it.

Evergreen makes them and packages them for Z Man. Evergreen baits are packaged differently. There are different colors available in each market that are not available in the other.

Over-priced, but very very productive. It's my go-to bladed jig right now.

Catch tons of fish and big fish on the cheap chatterbaits and the ones I make myself for like $2.50. Just go to Barlows and buy terminal tackle and make your own. Had 50+ fish day two weeks ago ripping the original zman chatterbaits out scattered grass.smallest was around 3lbs and biggest was close to 8 lbs ....yo-yo type retrieve. Sometimes the size of the overall bait and blade size/tightness of the vibration really makes the difference. I like a tight vibration ripping it out of the grass or burning through pad stems and more of a thump vibration around timber on a steady retrieve.

Im convinced its the snap... its the original chatterbait with upgraded components and a bait keeper...they changed the snap and jacked up the action, then went back to the original design with upgraded components and charged 4 times as much...genius.
