Hey everyone! I'm trying to conduct some research for my product design senior thesis, where I am trying to develop a better tackle carrying system for bank fisherman, and would love this community's insight. If you have time could you please take a couple minutes to answer this survey about your tackle bag preferences and experience with them, it would be greatly appreciated!

And feel free to comment any features you guys wish your tackle bag did or didn't have, it would be very helpful. Thank you!

6 years is a very long day of bank fishing... ; )

Think that's a typo on your survey. Also, the question about how I carry tackle says I can choose multiple answers but it doesn't let me.

Awesome Idea and very interesting topic as I would say you currently we have a divide in the terminal tackle storage industry. You have product providers such as Plano that have the traditional box....like the design hasn't really changed over the years....Then there are smaller providers where they are trying to make some strides in design and features....When bank fishing, you don't want to have a big tackle box setup, but you don't want something so small that you cant carry a stripped down selection of terminal tackle/baits. I guess you would call the "backpack" style or "satchel" style of bags being more innovative instead of a simple soft side tackle bag. Something that you can carry hands free and keep clear/secure as you make your cast...but easily accessible if you need to get your scale, pliers or just reach for another soft plastic to put on.

My current setup is actually a small soft sided Berkley tackle bag that can hold three small plastic tackle trays, two zipped pouches on opposite ends and then one large zip ouch on the side. This bag is bright yellow and branded for Berkley Gulp!...All in all it has been a great little bag over the years and I will sling it over my shoulder and will slide it around to my lower back when casting; still being able to quickly slide it to my hip in case I need to access anything from the exterior pouches.

A feature that I think would be nifty to have would be an exterior soft plastic binder. Similar to the bait binders you can find that come with 10-15 Ziploc bags held inside a zippered bag with rings...but this would be a smaller version with like 3-5 "snack" size Ziploc bags to hold a smaller assortment of different soft plastic baits. This would be nice to have this in a "backpack" style carrier where the features are easily accessed from the right or left side of the bag instead of at the top...since you would typically sling a back pack around vs taking it all the way off to access tackle/baits.
