Jane has had a medical issue but will be home healing soon chef Andy is going to run her boat and of course Tom and the rest of the crew are still going there already catching some and business as usual she has just had a little trouble but it’s coming out of it please call her back she’s for setting up a temporary office as she heals

Any updates on this? I have been communicating with Jane via email, and as of two weeks ago she was home and recovering. Just got word from a buddy that a friend of his was there yesterday and the low water ramp was coned off. Our trip out there is next weekend, so I'm just curious what might be going on with the ramp? If anyone knows?
I know the water just came down, which likely left the ramp silted in. Just hope there's not a more serious issue going on.

Cool, I emailed Jane yesterday and got a reply back. Boat ramp is operating once again now that some drying out has taken place since the water receded. We're heading out there mid-week next week for four days. Always look forward to this trip.

Here's a report mentions River Ridge as well as info on other east Texas white bass runs from Sunday's paper. Might require a subscription to read. Lufkin News Fishing Report

From the Lufkin News article by Matt Williams, sportswriter: "Reports of fast action and loads of big fish are filtering in from Sabine River above Toledo Bend, as well. Of all the hotspots around the region, the nutrient-rich Sabine is arguably the best for big ones. Heavyweight females weighing upwards of 21/2 pounds are frequently caught from the Logansport bridge north nearly as far Longview. One of the premier stretches is the 20-mile section between Joaquin and Deadwood. That section of river produced a river record 4.04 pounder in March 2010 for angler Ben Cornelias. Sabine River guide Jane Gallenbach and her husband, Tom, have been enjoying some outstanding action over the last few weeks. Gallenbach said their scouting trips began turning up banner catches starting in late January. Its been getting progressively better ever since. Were seeing some limits with fish averaging 21/2 pound apiece, with several females over three pounds, Gallenbach said. There are lots of big ones, full of eggs. Im guessing we had a good spawn around the full moon on Feb. 19 and well have an even bigger spawn next month. Unlike the Angelina, which is currently spilled over into adjacent bottomland, Gallenbach said the Sabine is flowing within its banks and in pretty decent shape. Were about 3/4 banks and the current has picked up a a little, she said. A lot of the fish are in the creeks, on humps and sandbars. It seems like they are moving around daily with the water fluctuations. You might catch a limit real quick out of a spot one day and then not be able to buy a bite there the next day; the search is on all over again.
