Just in from a great two day trip at JB. Got there yesterday at 5pm and fished in da tube till dark, caught 11 crappie and 1 LMB(5 lbs.). Stayed all night and fished off Rocky Point till about 3am, caught 3 big channel cats(all were about 5-7 lbs.),caught some zzzzzzzs and went down to the west end where I caught 17 BIG crappie this morning in about 2&1/2 hours. Fixing to fillet the whole bunch and introduce them to Ms. Crisco.Hope everyone had as good a time and came home happy!!!

God willin', I'm fishin.

It was an all day affair for myself and a buddy of mine, but we managed to catch 47 keepers Friday. Only three of those were females which leads me to believe that the bulk of the spawning has yet to occur. Fishing should be phenomenal over the next two weeks with warmer temps forecast and the full moon coming mid-week next week. Find the stickups (literally any of them) and fish them thoroughly. You will fish 50 feet of unproductive cover and them BAM you will find a five foot area that will hold 5-10 fish. I managed 7 big males out of one such area yesterday. The bite has yet to happen "in the rocks". Those fish will be shallow for at least another month. I have been out there as late as the second week in June and caught monster crappie in 2 to 4 feet of water in those rocks. I'm leaving in the morning for Cedar Creek for a guided trip with Chuck Rollins on Monday and will finish the rest of week of my vacation at Lavon and Lake Arrowhead. I guess there's always Thomas to fall back on. Like Brian said, I hope everyone had a great weekend and a safe one. Good Fishin'.

Wow, the chance of T Storms turned into the certainity of T Storms! No way to get in a yak on a lake with a 9 foot lightening rod.

DARN IT! No fishin' again.
