I was out there last week. It was open then. Water above Hamm looked like chocolate milk, lots of floaters too.

Water temp was 55, I think I was out there the 27th. No luck, normal spots werent holding fish. Checked a few new spots and fished a few of them too. Nada.

Agreed. Plenty of white bass on the main lake. Caught them until we got bored with it Saturday morning. Ill be interested to see what the river does the next couple months.

Following. Been going to Hamm for years with family in summer but never had a boat to fish from. Now Im looking forward to chasing some white bass in spring. When have you typically seen them showing up around Hamm creek? Is there a certain water temp thats been key?

I fished up to Bee Mountain two weeks ago, water temp was 61. No fish , no bait. That was then. Time to give it another look. Let us know what you find.

Was on the river feb 15. Put in at kimball bend at 7 am. First one there. Found lots of fish on graph about 1/4 mile north of nolan river to just south of river. Also lots of striper on graph. Could get themto hit. Tried sll types andcolor of baits. Dead stick, pluging, trolling. Nothing. About dozen other boats in area, never saw a fish caught. Water temp 54-55. Cloudy day. About 10 am sun broke thru and i caught a nice size female sandy full of eggs at mouth ofnolan. Hooked teo more that felt like stripers but lost both fairly quick. Sun went away and not another strike. Apears we are at least a week away. Going to try again tomorrow, 2-23 or monday.
