It is really hard for youngs when they spend their McDonalds paychecks on Xboxes and pot. The minimum wage should be raised to $40 an hour and a 2 day work week.

I remember it being pretty hard for us too. Rent and vehicles were cheap....pay was also low. I remember making a $150 a week slinging a roofing hatchet.

Your dreaming if you think they can. 2 guys working young people jobs trying to afford a 1400 mth apartment and a cheap car is about all they can afford. I didn't have a cell phone payment.
my insurance was pennies. me and my buddy paid 400 a mth for a nice place. paid 200 mth for my truck. the rest was party money.

I have to agree.

Me Too. Lots of places striving to take their money just in electronics to keep up with their generation and the cost of owning and driving a vehicle plus the distances driven to work is a lot worse today. Just look at the cost of a laptop compared to a tablet and a pencil. Starbucks has sapped a lot of their money.

too many of them are $35,000 millionaires. One of the girls that worked for me at Zales (corperate office) made about $31,000/yr and she "had to" drive a Lexus or a Infinity. She said cars like Fords or Chevys were below her. Also she "had to" get a new car every two years. Her husband was a truck driver for Ben E Keith so he wasn't rich either.

Too many folks olds and youngs live way above their means. They don't care if they have debt; and will never be free from it.

A lack of discipline, buy more than they can afford, not paying their bill before spending money on unnecessary [censored] and bad at setting priorities. Probably many can't even balance their checkbook. Most of it is the result of parents who set bad examples and did not motivate their kids.

This article shows the average millennial spends $39 a month in alcohol. I couldn't tell you the last time I had a bar tab under $40. I must like fun too much.

As of October 28, 2018, public debt was $15.8 trillion and intragovernmental holdings were $5.8 trillion

We are a country built and thriving on debt

Several years ago, a poster on here had an ad in the Classifieds on fixing bad credit

He was inundated in the OT with all kinds of posts beginning with My credit is wrecked... Can you help me?

Its not just young people

You mean I have to pay for it,that's not fair. I want to go to my safe place until the government gives me stuff.
